Show & Tell Time

We had to give up our January meeting to old man winter but he didn't slow down the busy hands of our guild members.  Following are our show and tell finishes for February - enjoy the beautiful quilting and sewing recently finished by our very talented group.

First up is Carolyn C.'s almost finished quilt that is waiting for it's binding.  Carolyn recently found this hidden gem in her sewing room and decided now is the time to complete.

Myrna T. showed us her gorgeous new finish.  All that brown reminds me of chocolate!

Barb E. showed us her double header - prism like diamonds on one side and a snowy truck scene on the other - how clever.  This beauty will soon be off to a family member.

Diane K. shared her table topper she recently made during a retreat. Kaffe Fassett fabrics really pop against the white.

Below is Diane's block of the month quilt - another cheery and bright top

This is another of Diane's quilts she recently completed for a family member.  Love the circles

Cecile G. is making wheelchair quilts.  She has made five so far and already given two away.  They are   30" x 40" and include a pocket on the front to keep hands warm or as a place to tuck things.  Above is her log cabin version, followed by her cat lovers version and her star version.

New member Carolyn G. shared her eye catching log cabin.
Welcome Carolyn, can't wait to see your next project.

Don and Anne C. are very prolific quilters who are very generous as the bulk of their work is donated as comfort quilts.

Don C. showed his latest comfort quilt - a lovely truck panel surrounded by log cabin blocks.  Don hand quilts and machine quilts.

Anne created this version of the Nova pattern. Don adds his quilting talents.

Following are a block quilt ready for donation, some brightly coloured flying geese and beautiful batiks in bricks.  The quilting added to these tops really sets them off.

Angela L.P. brought us bags today - her specialty.   Above is her scrap bucket basket.  Below is the source of her pattern but she admits hers not quite built to the pattern.   Angela likes to use the materials she has at hand.

Her scrap bucket basket is followed by her cork zippered pouch.

Joan B. made the Retreat Bag that was being demonstrated as part of today's meeting.  Joan's is so cute in a golf theme.

Joan has gone to the frogs - these adorable little fellows are to be a part of a quilt to be gifted to a frog loving long time teacher.

Joyce N. also made Retreat Bags in a lovely blue batik in two sizes.
