Our first meeting was "manned" by Joan Baldwin who did a great job in our Coordinator's Gail Mitchell's absence . (Poor Gail is touring Ireland and Scotland and attending the Ryder Cup in Scotland with her husband and friends!!)
Joan held the business section of the meeting before we had Show and Tell. Following Show and Tell, Joan and Jennifer did the Block of the Month teaching with about 50 members signing up. Great turnout, great enthusiasm.
Before the Show and Tell photos, let me publish some of the winners and their quilts from the Fredericton Exhibition.
Congratulations to our Cottonmill FREX WINNERS!
Ann Coles and her Leaf runner and Multi squared Tote bag...
Don Coles with his Fons and Porter reproduction, Jelly roll light and dark quilt, sweet fish quilts, and his GRAND PRIZE winning Chenille Octopus quilt!
So cute this winning Octopus! |
Bertha Mazerolle and her first prize Hand Quilted Maple Leaf Quilt!
In the summer, Gail Mitchell haled a "Guinea Pig" class of women who wanted to make a wallet. It is a beautiful functional wallet that I hope to make someday as well. Have look as some of the perfection wallets that these ladies turned out and the beautiful fabrics used! Great Job Ladies.

I always look forward to your posts. You all are so talented and do so much beautiful work. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat! I am sure that all the members of our Guild will enjoy and appreciate your comment.
ReplyDeleteOh Kathy. How nice to see all the quilts from afar. Its hard to say which is my favorite. I love Berthas leaves, but I'm so impressed with Connie s twister dog and of course I live your modern squares quilt. Congrats to all the ribbon winners.
ReplyDeleteHi Gail in Scotland!
ReplyDelete...and what about "your" wallets! Great eh?
One correction though...the twister doggie is Joan Baldwin's not Connie's. Lots by Connie though!!
