Pictures of some Mesh Bags

"Made at home" mesh/screened bags were made this summer with help from Don Cole's workshop and Beverly Morell's interpretation for us, and we have pictures of 3 of them for our blog, the show and tell edition ...

Patterns needed?

   CMQG Members only-

If you were at the last meeting, you know that the patterns for the medium and small notebook covers, as well as The Bag fabric requirements were going to be put on the Blog.  However there has been a bit of a technical glitch, so I ask you to email Gail M, our coordinator, if you need or want  them, and she will happily send them out to you.

Winter Wonderland -Row of the Month - September 2012

Thanks Jennifer S. and Joan B. for making up samples of our Row of the Month guild project this year.  Some will ask about the pattern. We are using Natalia Bonner's Winter Wonderland design.   It's a free tutorial type of pattern is available on the Riley Blake blog.  Click through here.  Joan and Jennifer have found a few things that will make it easier for us, so we hope you will join us every month.

Be sure to use the measurements that were supplied to you at the meeting.   That will make it easier for everything to fit at the end when you are piecing your rows together.   If you missed the measurements at the meeting, send us an email or leave us a comment and we'll email you the September insructions.

So, at the first guild meeting on September 17th, Joan revealed that the top row, the trees, will be the September row.   So get out your scraps and join us.  Bring your row to the next meeting to show us your progress.

Bertha Mazerolle carrying her new purse!  Lovely fabric, and braided handle/strap.

Bertha's Halloween wallhanging, guaranteed to give one "paws" in October!

Here we have Alta Fazio and Ann Coles showing off their grommet Bags, and snap change purses.  Great job ladies of the Thursday Morning girls.

Show and Tell

September brings Show and Tell to our first meeting of the new Guild year.  The pictures are ready, the corresponding names will be posted and the viewing pleasure is all yours!!

                                                Enjoy!

But before Show and Tell starts, the following quilt was made in honour of the 150th Anniversary of the arrival of Alexander (Boss) Gibson to Marysville 1862-2012.  In July this quilt was donated by CMQG to the Marysville Heritage Committee.  Both Estella MacDonald (L) and Myrna Tweedie(R), played a huge role in the quilt's creation.
