Blooming Nine Patch Workshop - January 16th

Example of high contrast fabrics
Are you going to join us for the Blooming nine patch workshop on January 16th, 2012?  Cecile G. will lead us through organizing ourselves for sewing this fun project.   If you are shopping for fabric, here is a list of the amounts of the 8 fabrics that you will need.  This is a 72" x 82" quilt.  If you plan on putting borders to increase the size, purchase fabric in addition to the amount below.  Choose your fabrics so that they blend from one to another for a subtle bloom.  Or chose contrasting colors for a high contrast look.  Batiks come out beautiful too.  Have a look at these images for an idea of the different look.

Example of subtle colors.

Fabric 1 - 0.35 metres
Fabric 2 - 0.60 metres
Fabric 3 - 0.80 metres
Fabric 4 - 1.10 metres
Fabric 5 - 1.25 metres
Fabric 6 - 1.50 metres
Fabric 7 - 1.70 metres
Fabric 8 - 1.10 metres

If you have any questions, please leave a comment or give Cecil G. a call.

  1. Thanks Gail for putting the fabric requirements up. It is very helpful. I WISH I could find my fabrics for the Blooming 9Patch in my stash! That is my goal, but so far...haven't succeeded.
